Occasionally, Unblocked will turn up an answer that is based on an outdated reference. In this situation, you can tell Unblocked to ignore that reference in the future. There are two ways to prevent Unblocked from referencing a specific document:

Archive a Cited Source

If, for example, an old Notion document is not something that you want answers to be drawn from, you can archive this reference and Unblocked will no longer use it as a source for answers. To do this, simply hover over the source and a menu button will appear. archive-reference Click Archive, and Unblocked will ask for confirmation that you don’t want to use this reference in the future. archive-confirmation You can also include a reason for archiving this reference so that your teammates can see why we’ve excluded it from your team’s data index. All archived references will be listed on the Recently Archived page of the Unblocked web app.

Add Tags to Document Titles

You can also prevent Unblocked from referencing documents by adding a specific tag to a document title. When Unblocked detects this tag in a document title, it will automatically ignore the document when answering questions. The supported tags are:
  • deprecated
  • archived
  • outdated
These tags must be wrapped in one of the following bracket types:
  • Square brackets: [deprecated], [archived], [outdated]
  • Parentheses: (deprecated), (archived), (outdated)
  • Angle brackets: <deprecated>, <archived>, <outdated>
Examples:
  • [DEPRECATED] API Documentation
  • Feature-x Release Plan (Archived)
  • Q1 Roadmap Planning for 2023 <outdated>
