Configuring Data Sources
Giving Unblocked critical context about your application
While Unblocked is designed to build its primary data index from your source code, we strongly recommend granting Unblocked access to other systems you use to build your application. The more systems you connect to Unblocked, the better answers it provides you and your team, reducing the amount of time spent searching for context about your codebase.
Unblocked has pre-built integrations with some of the most widely used tools on the market, including knowledge management systems, messaging platforms, bug and issue trackers, and more. If there is public content that can give additional context to your Unblocked instance, you can point it at any publicly accessible website. Or, you can even build out your own integration with Unblocked’s API.
In order to connect Unblocked with the tools your team uses, review the documentation for the specific data sources you want to use. Then, set up Unblocked to process all of the material you’ve shared with it. This will allow you and your team to ask Unblocked a broad range of questions about your codebase, from how things work to why specific choices were made in the past.
